central locking

my passenger door dusnt want to open or lock via central locking. any ideas folks?

probably need to replace the locking mechanism. Iv'e had to replace both front locking mechs due to the same problem. if the lock operates with a key but not with the remote, is almost certainly the locking mech. Think the motors go duff over time and not enough power to operate the mech. Hope this helps.

thanks, it wont lock using the key either, so looks like your right, ive got a spare locking mech on my dead car, sounds a bit of a pain to do.

Not a bad job really. Never done an 850, but done 2 on V70 P1 so cant be that different. hardest part for me was realigning the handle barrel pin into the new mech. One side easy as pie, other side for some reason just didn't want to go home.
