can anyone tell me if my 1999 s80 t6 has the type of abs modules which have to have software loaded/programmed when renewing.
anotherwords, does the relaoding of software apply to all s80 t6`s or just the later ones from 200 on.
mine is a 1999.
thanks in advance

We have fitted good used modules to the S80/S60/V70 range without any need for any software download.Rufe will be able to confirm whether there is a software patch available for this vehicle but i cant see that you will need one.

alan,
no not yet.
i have sent my original abs unit away for testing/repair as i cant get a replacement with the same number on.
when i opened up the abs module, i saw a 16 pin microchip with a hairline crack in.
the dealer diagnosed it being the abs module but i have had many opinions which differ
its a difficult one. i havent got the £1150 which the dealer wanted for the renewal of the abs, if my unit doesnt work when i get it back then i guess the whole car will be sold as spares. as i have no more finances left.
i should know what is what by next week.
watch this space !!
if i can find it when i return next week lol !!
