Currently looking at a new T5 but it says the clutch pedal has sunk to the floor? As there is air in the system. Is it a simple case of bleed the system or could there be a number of other reasons why this has happened.

My main concern is how did air get into a sealed unit ?

This is the car in question.

Wouldn't worry about at that money, might be a faulty seal on servo or brake cyliders.
How much does it cost for a night out?.

faulty slave cylinder? - not sure how much of a ball ache it is on an 850 - I guess it depends on whether it has dual mass or single mass flywheel.. :)

I changed the clutch slave cylinder on my t5 a few years back. they are about 60 quid from german and sweedish. and easy to change ,i belive the t5r gearbox has the slave cylinder inside the bell housing which means a gearbox out job.
The ad says, its just had a new clutch so something more sinister might be to blame? i would view before bidding.

Be no good viewing it, as it's quite a distance away from me and i wouldn't know what i'm looking at.
