Welcome to the site.
You will need to go to a dealer or Volvo Indie and get the DTC's read (diagnostic trouble codes).
Whereabout are you? Is this your first T5?

Aye welcome to the forum another one joins the explod ranks quite a few of those on here
As wobbly says get to a dealer for the DTC`s Unless your local to an independant
Update your sig to include your location and we can always point you to a decent garage if we know where you are based
Cheers

cheers for the advice. It is my first T5 and its awesome. I live in Manchester and have no idea where to take it. So some pointing in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. I did take it to my local but they kept it for the day without looking at it. So i went away disgruntled. My local Grimshaws (vauxhall dealer etc) wouldn't touch it. So i am at a loss.
I always wanted a beast but the good lady always put me down. However, i had to show her who wears the trousers (to be honest i took her to see it and she fell in love with it). I bought from XPcarsales in Hyde just outside Manchester and they were superb.
I will post some pics soon.
Cheers everyone.

Your better off going to the auctions where you can save at least £1k, as thats where xpcarsales buy them and put the price up by around £1k.

Welcome to the club.
Dont know where in Mcr you are, but the local stealership in Oldham read my codes for me while I waited, 1/2 hour, charged me a tenner. Free coffee and a look round the new models.

I have just bought my first T5 from XPC in hyde, V70, 51, 150k paid £4500. before buying i searched around and went to BCA and watched a couple of police auctions.
cars ranged from Y - 51 average price when the hammer fell was about £3000. then you had to pay VAT, plus 5% to the police and then the auction house fee.
This ended up in the car costing about £4000. All cars are covered in glue and scratches where all stickers are removed with stanley knife blades and scrapers, aerial stumps or roof holes full of black mastic, holes in the dash and other butchered and broken trim and quite often worn seats.
So add another £500+ for a respray (unless your good with a can) and you have already hit £4500
XPC - Car is preaty clean, roof resprayed and additional wing mirror removed. all missing pannels replaced, valeted and they allow payment through paypal, bankers draft or can arrange finance.
IMHO I would rather buy from XPC.

The service was honest and up front. I like this kind of deal. I will go back and upgrade with them if the deal is a good one.

I am booked in for Monday. Let you know how it goes. The bloke on the other end of the phone was very helpful and had a laugh about how his name was put forward.
Cheers again

Cheers Rickbee.
Had a little work done on the car, price was value for money, he even stayed open late so i could pick it up. Their advice was open and seemed honest. Will use them again.
Cheers for the advice.
