Local yob hits lamp post and does a runner, within seconds a black V70 on a T plate, debadged, lowered (i mean sitting down on its arse) all side and rear windows blacked out, dual pipes at the back, no signs, only two blue lights behind the front grille, arrives on scene, out jump two uniformed officers in pursuit of said yob. Within moments a white Evo 8 with only blue lights behind the grille and a silver Audi with only blue lights behind the grille. Both the Evo & Audi had plain clothes inside. All topped off with a local force helechopter. A typical Saturday night around Rochdale. All the motors are probably with Gtr Manchester forces.

If you want them to target you in the chopper for a bit attention just get a good torch and shine it at them, then look away or be dazzled for minutes. It works in Leeds anyway!

I bet it was a seized car, and the judge said to the coppers 'do you want to use it for surveillance or shall I order it to be scrapped'..........Now what would you say to a cool Volvo.
If these cars are seized due to drugs proceeds etc, the police have the right to use the car and either crush it or sell it at auction.

All mine are tinted. I thought it was illegal too but they have been like that for nearly 3 years.
I have seen a few cars round here with it. Probably cos the cops really dont seem to be bothered with minor traffic things round here (like the theft of my car)

i thought they could be tinted but have to let a given percentage of light in.
ive heard the blues have a meter which measures the light and thus tells them if the tint is too dark.

thats true we have got Tristans 850r in at the mo the back and two rear windows are limo black the rear doors are dark smoke and the fronts are light smoke
looks cool will try and get a pic on my camera phone and send it to some one who can post it up for me

Yes. 35%. ie they let 35% light transmission. The passenger doors are 20% and the rear and tailgate windows are limo black 5%.
