Evening all,need some ideas on a day out for the kids (4yo and 5.5 yo girlies and friends 6yo boy) for friday within 2 hour drive of Stansted.Have done Duxford,Legoland,Chessington,Thorpe park,Whipsnade in the last two years,so something new would be good.

loads of things in London, go on a Sunday and you can park in the City (Tower Hill for example) for relative peanuts, and get on the tube.

Alton Towers is maybe within 2hrs of you, pricey when you've got a few kids though! I stayed at the hotel last Friday which was a few hundred quid with the water park and theme park but no petrol....
