Made a reasonable difference to my T5, much smoother top end.:B_steerin

VT have worked hard in conjuction with ITG (who supply many of the F1 teams) to develop the filters for the T5s etc. Lots of testing and empircal data has been collected. Highly recommended I'd say.

Is there much to choose from between an ITg and a KN filter. I have a KN is it worth swapping ??:)

Hi there ITG/Pipercross is a foam based filter KN/JR is a cotton gauze based filter Both allow more air to flow, foam more so. It is known that paper filters flow as well as a replacement element, when new. But they clog up very quickly. Here's something I dug up in the past, luckily it's still about ! http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/ Hope this helps ! I use a stainless OTT filter, lol - see my website. Take it easy Whitey

Fitted an ITG not too long after gettin my T5 and I must say it fits lovely, sounds a lil' different over standard and overall (I'm sure) works very well indeed. I would then recommend them to anyone wishing to buy n fit to his/her T5 in all respects.... ...however, I gotta just say they aren't the be all and end all;) I'll still be replacing mine with an induction kit (sorry ITG panel fans:sorry: ) as I still think they look better (bonnet up) and I love the extra noise they can generate:firedevil plus of course... ...I am also convinced that (working with my local power engineering hero/bud) it will see an increase in power, ready for future upgrades, and continue to help the car breath as the power increases. I will be experimenting with many cold air routing options (including SUBTLE bonnet venting) and am lookin to fit a Blitz Sus unit as they are crackin good quality cones:) Soz 2 get slightly carried away AGAIN but I felt I had to explain myself fully with why I am ditching such a good piece o kit, it is after all, the reason for this thread...the ITG panel-filter is top quality, tried n tested...:B_steerin
