Hi
Was thinking about trying to book the car for a session on the rolling road, just to see what power it is making. Has anybody else with a Rica upgrade had theirs on the rollers? and what did it make.?
Cheers

Had mine done not so long ago up t'north. Auto box produced 259bhp with 128k on the clock.
Volvo Tuning is going to be doing a rolling road - as there both the Volvo and RICA experts I expect the results to be pretty accurate. Prob happen sometime next month or early may.
Power Engineering is doing one shortly - but I wasn't pleased with their setup or my results from them.

You're better off waiting for VTs to be done,Then we can make a great day out of it as well

Hi Andrew
Are you happy with that? it's a wee bit down on the 300ish that is claimed.
A rolling road day at VT may be interesting, bit of a long drive from sunny Scotland but would be good to make a weekend of it.
cheers
Rob

Well I'm keen to see what the experts at VT can produce with a proper RR setup. We're always looking for a bit more eh and I've only known 1 car to fully achieve the 300bhp claimed - a lot depends on the rest of the car doesn't it. My car had a semi dodgy gear box when it achieved 259 which is now been fixed. That combined with a new AT fluid cooler, new ITG filter (currently K&N), new Magnacor leads which will be arriving soon, a service and a drilled air box - all of which will be done in the next month - should produce better results.
I think a trip down from Scotland, although a long trip, would be worth it - there is no doubt that the majority of the regulars would be there.
Kind regards,
Andrew.

I had mine done twice on the rollers, it achieved the bang on what it was meant to on the first run however exceeded it on the second run, it did have a few more mods though so it should have done!

The mistake that Well lane made is that it's not actually possible to measure power at the crank on an auto. Only power at the wheels can be measured on an auto, which unfortunately Well Lane did not provide.

Adam - and it's experience like that I'm looking forward to taking advantage of - any more news on the likely dates for your RR to be setup and ready to go ? I want to know how much time I've got :)

Andrew I had mine done at two local garages, they wont be known in the tuning world just places that have rollers in.
The first run it achieve the claimed 340 and the second it got 352bhp.

Andrew, we are literally awaiting delivery! Everything is ready for it. It's coming from the USA by container ship, so as soon as it docks we will know.

Yes i had mine done in February and it was only producing 255bhp too , not 310, but i'm only boosting at 0.8bar not 1.1bar as it should be. Still flying tho and not missing a beat.
