After a 3 painstaking weeks of fiddling about with my immobiliser end (about the size of two matchstick heads) i decided to bite the bullet and attempt removal. So out i went armed with tipex to mark the wire individually ready to cut just in case it did not work.Marked all 7 wires and then cut them all,i felt rather proud untill i tried turning the ignition and nothing :slap: :jaw: ,so panic had set in now i could not drive the car.So had a fag traced the wires upto the ignition switch, marked them and pulled em off rejoined one of my ignition wires that they had cut,and tried again the car turned over but did not fire. There were 2 wires left that dissapeared up the back of the dash and up towards the engine bay. They went to the fusebox were i had noticed to black wires when i first bought my car i thought they had bypassed the fuse for my fuel pump, which they had but for the immobiliser,so pulled them out put the fuse back in and tried again,:thewave: he fired straight up,so i am now over the moon.
Oh and the biggest laugh was it was a thatcham cat 1 and took me 20 mins to disconnect it all and remove it from the car, plus all the wires were just twisted together no proper joints and no solder to bee seen

very they did it on the ignition switch block itself they cut one wire stripped the ends then just twisted the black wires on and tapped them the 2 other wires they spliced in and twisted and tapped i was shocked to say the least. It makes me think now how good some of these thatcham aprroved fitters actually are
