'Ello all. Need your thoughts.
I am buying a 125cc Russian Minsk for use on a rally:

I'm buying it in Vietnam new, and importing it to the UK. I've got a few questions to our two-wheeling petrol heads:
How does one go about shielding an ignition coil against radio interferance?
Does the two stroke get tested by MSVA for emissions? Or just visually for smoke?
Has anyone any experience or know of anyone importing motorbikes to the UK and getting them registered?
Cheerios!

Hi,
Supressor is what you need to stop the crackling you get with ignition, although there are a lot that do it stilll... especially the smaller single cylinder bikes...
Smoke is usually ok on a two-stroke, I mean they smoke all the time, mind you if it fills the work shop with smoke then thats another story I guess...
As for importing, it's a simple task as far as I know, I have a friend who recently brought a honda CB500 in from the states, pain free, although it was his bike already.... he cant sell for two years now it here.... can ask other stuff if required..
