Oxford and London are a mere 70 miles from each other, but every single time i move between the two by public transport it costs me a fortune and is slower than walking. Why is our transport so utterly bollocks? We're the peasants of the Eu; i bet bulgaria and romania have better transport!
The train is always the crap slow one that stops 20+ times and the fast one always booked up.
Now i'm sitting here, on a crowded airport bus, which cost £19 and will take two hours to get home. Next time i might just consider the £300 heathrow parking cost and actually get home without the sound of babies crying, foreigners that find the whole queueing situation amusing, and having to sit around on the motorway at half the speed of everyone else.
It sure is a good way of knowing the holiday's over!

Just been reading your blog!
Are you sure you don't need a full motorcycle license before you do that rally? I wasn't able to legally ride abroad on just a CBT + L-Plates + a full car license although I could in the UK. Certain countries don't allow you to ride on a provisional license for the catagory of vehicle you're travelling on/in.

Very interesting point! I shall add another spanner to the works... :) I'm not expecting it to be an issue in Eastern Europe, so... will have to see what can be done in the meantime. Thanks for the info though!
