Good evening Gents, i suppose you'd class me as a newbie, (to this site anyway) But I'd had my lovely Red T5 estate since Feb '98. Have now moved on, and have a nice V70R AWD, with a few tweaks courtesy of Volvotuning in Bromsgrove. :) (Nice people):) Based near Cambridge, and just getting used to my new "toy" The Red T5 now lives happily down in Hampshire with its new owner, and is still missed.
V70R - is that old or new shape? Welcome to the site. Post us some pics soon. Good to have you onboard
My new baby is a "new" shape V70R in Silver, the T5 is the nice red one... The only things which arn't as good as the old T5 are the steering lock (Poor)and all round Visibility/Door mirrors.
Hello and welcome,The Cambrige area seems to have nearly as many t5s as Birmingham these days
Thats because we used to have a good dealership (Lancaster's) but now taken over by Marshall, who think they are doing you a favour by taking you money....surprised that anyone still goes there...I certainly don't.
Don't forget you still have Kings of Witcham - the best independent in the area. Lower prices than crappy Marshalls too in business for 25 years all Volvo. Did you see the private message I sent you about the kings lynn meet ? Where in Witchford did you used to work ? where are you based? V70R nice.... drove one recently agree with your down points. I would also add the adjustable steering doesn't go high enough too. I couldn't see the dials properly etc.
Used to work at dB Broadcast on the bypass... Adjustable steering column is ok for me....maybe i'm taller? I Normally go to Kings...they certainly are very good...and John is a legend..... Must have missed the message about the KL meet, though i'm pretty fully booke at the mo....Fiance' lives in Clacton so really only have 1 week in 2...

Hi Dinger, Welcome to the club! Indeed, the Cambridgeshire T5 contingent continues to grow!! Mine is a silver V70 T5 SE 1999 and it is the first car I have had that I just get into and drive for sheer fun. No particular place to go!! See you around!! Cheers, John.

Hi Andrew, Yes, I am trying very hard to clear the decks and make the King's Lynn run out. My brother lives in Ely so I am trying to rope him in too! You can put me down on your list as a strong possibility!! Cheers, John.

Hi Dinger, have to agree with Andrew about Kings, they do a good job at a sensible price, and a cheap courtesy car too. Hope you can make King's Lynn on 12th November. Just about to get a V70 AWD as a every day/winter car.
