Why don't Volvo keep their stock list on the computer up to date.Daisy has been in the garage since last monday as it needs a part for the fuel tank.She is at my mechanic,non Volvo and the dealers they use are in Chelmsford.No parts in the country,will have to come from Sweden.Spoke to another dealer and according to the computer there are two of these parts in London.Turns out the computer hasn't been up dated so there are none.Friday morning comes and guess what?no part from sweden.Will be monday now at the earliest.I asked why didn't they get a phone call or a fax to say it wasn't being sent?also there is no between dealership transfer system.The system is crazy,no communication.

I know it's a pain Ben but think yourself lucky they don't use the same stock system as we have at my work. We havn't checked it for 3 years. GULP.

I have had to wait for parts from Sweden before now,but when you sit and think about it,it makes sense for them to only keep day to day spares in stock and not some of the less used items.Especially for cars such as mine that are no longer being built,its a pain but at least they are available.

Most dealers wont even trade cars between each other so the chances of getting parts is virtually none existant! Some will use different stock checking systems aswell so the computers arent compatible.
