Hi, does anyone know if the brakes from a 1999 Volvo V70 would fit a 1995 T5R?

Which bit of the brakes? Calipers are the same for both If you mean the 302 mm front brake disks - you need to extend the brake lines/bleed brakes. 302mm will only fit inside 17" rims or the perfos

I guess caliper positon. Saw this...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=ADME%3AL%3ARTQ%3AUK%3A1&viewitem=&item=250048157632&rd=1 and it's fair to say my brakes are pretty poor...

save yer money and invest in some decent pads - trust me - my 855R stopped on a dime (running 280mm plain brembo disks). Ferodo DS2500 are your friend and a damn sight cheaper than the american kit. Image

Okay, thanks.

You can also use DS Performance which are slightly cheaper IIRC Both are available from VT ps I am not saying that going to 302mm is a bad idea - it just takes more effort/money and you also need the bigger carriers I have published a how to on it in the KB section

Cool, nice write up. Did a 280 to 302 on a previous volvo of mine. Whilst it's obviously harder work I just prefer the look of a bigger disc behind the 17's. previously bought the parts from a volvo parts specialist but can't seem to get carriers from anywhere at the moment....

VT have them - you can get them from www.salvogroup.co.uk too - (forum discount applies)

Yeah, I got them from salvo's last time-they were selling them on ebay. Couldn't find any of late. I'll try VT. Thanks, much appreciated.

I have the 302mm set up using new 17inch comets during the good weather and put back my original 16 inch perfo's for the salt on the road period and there is no problem with discs or goodrich longer hoses
