I have been trying to find some decent exhaust reducers, As i want to go 3" dp/cat to 2.5" BSR exhaust,
Does anyone know of anywhere that sells reducers? I have seen some really naff looking ones on Ebay, but i suppose it will do the job if i cannot find a stainless 304 reducer,
Gary

Given the varied nature of exhausts, will a generic reducer fit where you need it to? I'd be thinking it needs a custom one making up. No local places with the necessary gear to make them?

Most 304 pipe is the same size now. Jetex sell the reducers you need. I have used them before.

Hi Iggy yes a generic should fit but some of them are rough as too speak,
I will try Jetex, but it looked like 3" pipe onto 2.5" pipe, on their website,
What i ideally need is a 3" cone > 2.5" pipe.

I just checked with my local exhaust guy and he can do a 2.5 to 3" without a step. So maybe trying some local performance exhaust fabricators will get you what you need.
Failing that I can get him to do one.

I think the likes of cobra exhausts and powerflow exhausts will do the reducers most decent places should easiley do a 2.5 to " just by widening the pipe with a pneumatic bung thing

He said it'd be around £10 in 304.
badger, that'd be hydraulic not pneumatic. Loads of PSI needed to cold form steel.

Thanks guys, I think i have my head around things now,
3" DP to Cat will be 3" V band,
Cat 3" pipe to BSR 2.5" will be a 2.5">3" reducer,
Not sure now how far i should run the 3" pipe from the Cat,
I can either go to the start of the BSR, Or to the first bend in the exhaust tunnel, or to the start of the first silencer, Funds are limited at the moment,
I don't want to start cutting and shutting the exhaust too much as it will be for resale when i eventually go down the whole 3" system route,
Gary.

Putting reducers or flanges in the longest straight bit of tubing certainly makes life easier for alignment and any errrrr adjustments that need to be done.
Maybe a picture of the actual system would help the 'committee' decide the best placement
