Good news :-) My Good Lady is buying a 2001 silver C70 2.0T!!! She's getting rid of her Corsa soon and couldn't decide what to buy. Until I showed her the C70 she was thinking of a bloody STREETKA but soon changed her mind and put down the deposit. Two other people were looking at it at the same time as us so we had a chat to the owner of the garage before the others had the chance!
Result! It looks the business for a std car, lovely lines etc so I'm looking forward to driving it too :-)
BTW I'm having my S60 colour coded next Wednesday and getting the black trim on the exterior matched to the sky blue metallic, can't wait :-)

Good choice with the C70, whats the info on it?
Mileage, man auto etc etc?
A couple of things to check though from experience, play with the windows alot and see if one goes alot slower than the other when going up and down, if ones alot slower looks like the motor might be on the way out, and they aint cheap to replace! Also check for wind noise when driving as the doors have a habbit of sagging on the really small hinges they have.

Thanks guys, the new C70 specs are is, whatver:-
2.0 GT pack electric everything with an auto box. I know its an auto (like mine) but my Good Lady has a bit of RSI in her poor wristy and hates changing gears! I DID say the manuals give better control but she's not after that, she's more interested in how good she'll look driving it! It even makes me look good, I've seen proof of it on the test drive driving past shop fronts for a good half an hour.
Sad but true...however hopefully i will convince Mrs 1401 that having it chipped will benefit her driving, safer for overtaking and all that...
As soon as I get piccies then I'll put them up for you to see, we should be getting it in about a fortnight fingers crossed!
It's also got a full black leather interior with heated seats and that cd tape player stereo.

Sounds good, its probably the best engine to mate with the auto along with the 2.4 ones as their very smooth.
Will have all the toys on it with being a GT pack. It is surprising how many people stare at the C70's as they simply have no idea what they are, make sure you get the Volvo badge off the back end if it has one, and if the exhaust tip has gone rusty get something sorted with that aswell!

That's exactly what will happen, a clean rear is always more interesting! I forgot to say it comes with the BBS type split rims, with the criss cross multi spokes, looks really good :)
I'd say it looks even better than mine at the moment but I prefer the "indestructible tank" look of my S60 better! But mine sits too high and really needs a drop of about 2" so that'll be getting sorted next. My plan is to have my S60 looking really cool but still understated with it. Roll on Wednesday!
