LOL, I've had fun on the works carpark before, but there's a lot of kerbs so have to be careful.
dont tell me RWD is fun in these conditions. ive just skated all the way home in my old alfa and it was far from fun. if it was a carpark, that would be fun, but rush hour A-roads with oncoming traffic is scarey. 20mph sideways up slight inclines, sideways on straight roads, i cant even get it on my drive. its made me look a right ammature, i only had to flinch and it tried to turn round. i,m sat here now, still shaking like a shi**ing dog. btw, the volvo has no tax so i cant even use that. :B_rant:

this was the funniest thing i saw today...watching this ***** trying to get up the hill while i was walking the dog today....full throttle in 1st gear untill the hill got to steep and front wheels started spinning dragging the front end around and spinning the van back down the hill :D.....he took 4 stabs at it before abandoning it
:D

Some muppets have no idea how to drive on ice lol.
having another great day at home :) have been out (on foot) all morning with the dog :D
Some muppets have no idea how to drive on ice lol.
Some muppets have no idea how to drive on ice lol.
Is that a new prime-time TV show ?
Is that a new prime-time TV show ?
it would be better than the ****e we have on at the moment :)
Muppets on Ice, sounds great, as long as Bruce Forsyth, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Philip Schofield are kept well away. Should have Jeremy Clarkson as the presenter.
taken on my drive in to work this morning, the snow plough has cleared the worst of it, still very icy and hardpacked underneath

we had about 4 inches overnight. my lane was interesting, thankfully the steepest bits are downhill on the way too work...even the main road had frozen slush either side of the wheel tracks I seem to have upset a guy (tw@t) in A discovery 3 due to me driving steady. COCK
depth gauge in north hampshire/berkshire, was cleared last night

taken on my drive in this morning

very dangerous this morning, the main A road has not been treated at all and part of it is a v-steep hill about half a mile long, covered in hard packed snow/ice and frozen slush, it is like a bloody ski jump!! i really dont know how i got up it. someone had managed to loose control going up and ended up on the other side of the road nose in the bank!!! drive safe people!
We are under about 12" and rising , power lines are down and the freezer is defrosting nicely :( Just used the generator in the service van to boil a kettle for tea lol :)
Oh and its still fecking snowing LOTS .
We are under about 12" and rising , power lines are down and the freezer is defrosting nicely :( Just used the generator in the service van to boil a kettle for tea lol :)
Just chuck all the stuff in the freezer outside lol! Southamptons all clear now, although we were up east of Basingstoke last night on a road rally and the back lanes were still snowy and some bits icy. Mixed with the fog it wasnt much fun! Dave
Yeah, pack a box with snow & put all the frozen stuff in it out the back door! Just top it up as necessary. Either that or eat the lot!
Had no snow here at all, even got the sun shining.
Had no snow here at all, even got the sun shining.
Lies ive never known sunshine north of stoke lol :)
Hell if it weren't cold you'd think it was a summers day!!, I've even had the sunroof open!!!,lol.

:D i managed to get stuck trying to get up my drive (it is quiet a steep rise from the road level) after work at lunchtime
managed to get it free after about 15 mins by rocking back and forth, what a bloody game!

Melting like buggery here now. The sun is shining, and I feel like going for a nice fast drive, but sods law, my V70 is idling like cobbled road (all lumpy...). I'm convinced it's the ETM that is finally giving up - had it on the diagnostics last night, and although there are no codes (yet) I've seen the 'absolute throttle position' hunting around between 2.9% and 8.7%. Usually, it's stuck happily at about 6.5% at idle... What I can't be certain of yet is whether this is down to a bad signal from the ETM feedback pots, or if the engine management is trying to control the idle speed because something else is causing air/fuel ratio to be bad. MAF is very stable though, so I don't think it's that.
No sign of thawing here yet , we are still pretty much buried :(
it took me over an hour to dig my car out this morning, i'm cream crackered now :(
The frozen firdge mover....

cool pic :)
taken yesterday morning...that pile of snow is still there tonight!!!
No sign of thawing here yet , we are still pretty much buried :(
If I were you I'd try and nip out to stock up, it's forcast more snow for you for later in the week.
Well it's snowing like mad here now! We had a load last week but tonight alone we are supposed to have 4 inches and higher ground 8 inches! pic's toma:)
We never get any substantial snowfall round here, crappy west midlands.
If I were you I'd try and nip out to stock up, it's forcast more snow for you for later in the week.
We had another load last night and this morning Mark got the van stuck in the snow and had to tow the bloody thing with the Disco to the top of the drive so he could get out to work lol. Its getting kinda boring now lol. We still have a good few inches here :nut:
So much for the "Blizzard" conditions predicted, we got 1.5" of snow, which was already well slushy by 8.30 this morning.
Some snow last night, thawing fast today, now flooding problems here.
Winter time in Glasgow... Here's a few piccys I've taken over the last week or two :D
