I may buy an ocean race D5 2005 with 75,000 Km.
The rear cargo side windows: only one has the orange defroster wires (driver's side), the other one doesn't.
Is this normal or does that indicate that window may have been replaced?
Will my 195/50/R15 850 T5 snow tires on rims fit on this car?
Thanks!

I may be quite wrong here but are the wires in the cargo windows really defroster wires and not related to the alarm in any way?...

I may be wrong but is it not the aerial on one side. ???

It will clearly say "VOLVO GAURD" on these strips...
part of the alarm system, should you have the car on half gaurd, they trigger a break in alert.
You barley see them anyway!

only the rear window has a defroster the drivers side window has the aerial and alarm wires and the passenger only alarm wires.
hope this clears the matter up?

Yep that clears it up. It does say Volvo Guard. I assumed that because of the pattern and color it was a defroster.

Both sides should have a small loop with 2 orange pads on it which is part of the alarm (says Volvo guard) The passenger side has the antenna (one of 2 on the car) which IIRC has 4 vertical lines.
The other antenna is in the rear bumper.
