Hi all, My 1996 Black 855R manual+19t+FSDs is going to the compact cube in the sky as part of the new scrappage scheme :( Volvo will give me over 4k for it so unless someone *really* wants to pay me more lol its fate is sealed!! Good news for existing 850R owners is that the 850R just got rarer :D

Cant say I blame you - although I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to buy a brand new car right now!!!

And its all gonna be crushed. I can see why you doin it, £4k is a fantastic price. Tell me you're removing the 19t and FSDs?

I'd definately swap parts for yours and cash your way should you be interested in taking them off and I could even swap the parts if tats a problem on your side.

I can see it now, a swap out party at Pzorb's! Seems a shame to let the good components get crushed when you could send it there with standard parts...knowing your old parts went on to be appreciated. Just a thought

dont mean to be nosey, but what 'sthe deal? This scrappage scheme is a complete farce. If Volvo are giving you 4k I bet you can get a decent amount off if you dont throw your car away.

looking at the scheme on the volvo website its limited as to which car you get? they seem to be pushing the diesels

Yeah it's going towards a 2.0 C30 diesel (for my mum). It actually works out cheaper than a nearly-new 2nd hand one! The parts swap-over is tempting. I installed the eibachs and fsds on my drive so I know it can be undone. The 19t I'm not so sure, shame as it's only done 12k. The car is away at the moment, I shall get back when I know what parts can be robbed. Thanks for the PMs, will be noted ;) I'm thinking of the spare wheel, boot seats, cd changer, radio, and maybe the wheels if someone wants to swap.
