I think thats pretty funny, in a joking way :hilarious Just a polite note though, this has started to kill people and a lot of people are panicking, maybe a bit of taste and decorum needed ;) Only saying it as there are people that might take offence.

I had it, but I got over it. I didn't take any special medication at all, the only thing I did do was rest lots and drink loads of water. To put the virulence of the strain into context; Since I left school in 1992 I have been ill twice: I got food poisoning in 1995 and was sick for an afternoon, and in 2003 I caught a bug that made me ill for a morning. The flu I've just got over took hold on 25th May and the remnants of the bug left me on 18th June. As you can imagine, for me to be ill for 25 days takes some seriously strong virus and there's no denying that this thing could kill those with weak defences. I'm lucky in that I have defenses made seemingly of iron (as my history of not being ill shows) but even given that it took me almost a month to get clear. However, some Oinksip Max would have helped me no doubt! LOL! :)

Good humour all round,,,,,,,,,,,,laughed loudly at the Bin one. Whole thing is scaremongering by our so-called peers. Noone with a previous clean bill of health has come to any harm. It's just flu. Vote Labour..........they are saving lives. Course they are. Whoops, off and running again!!
..No-one with a previous clean bill of health has come to any harm. It's just flu...
It is indeed, albeit a slightly stronger strain.

It'll be forgotten very soon. Anyone remember H5N1? Bird flu, right? Nough said. We'll all be fine unless we listen to the propaganda. Life will continue and I wish everyone the best of health.......hic!!

To true at the end of the day it wouldn't be the first time standard flu has killed and it won't be the last. We do have a generally good health system (waiting for the disagreements) so I say if you get it let them sort it and stop listening to the scare mongers.

The media tends to cause more of the problems than anything else and generally for no reason at all. They ruffled our feathers over the bird flu thing (pun definitely intended) and they all made lots of dough over selling the swine flu stories (I guess they all stuck their noses in the trough), but the upshot is that in both cases, and the case of H5N1, there was very little impact to the nation as a whole due in no small part to the decent standard of living, the decent food safety standards and of course the health service which is nothing short of excellent (despite what the papers say).
