Having had my autobox flushed and fluid changed it is now worse than before i started. After the change it was fine but within 3-4 days the gear changing became erratic at low speeds and held longer in first to second gear.
"Cookie" was right,the fluid that was used for the change by the gearbox company was obviously an inferior quality to that of volvos own.
I have now got to buy volvos own and get the company to re-do the job or alternatively get it done at volvo at a much greater cost and be done with it..
I have really bolloxed up..:mad::scared::doh::cussing::cry:
If i buy the fluid from volvo how much will i need??? Can i get away with 8 ltrs,or will i need 12 ltrs???

from previous gear boxs i have found if to much or to little the gear changing will be terrible with gear boxs they need to nearly 100% correct regarding the amount i would go with what it states as the fluid will be in the filter

Have you checked level - remove the pipe from intake to air box (just unclips)
run engine, hold in each position for a few seconds (down to L and back to park), switch of engine and check dipstick
I would also ask the garage exactly what make and spec of fluid they used, if they say Comma then Personally I'd bite the bullet and replace with genuine
If level is low, top up, if to high, drain a bit out (17mm bolt IIRC in the side at bottom of gearbox), recheck level as B4, and if nessasary remove a bit more.
if level is fine, or comma has been used, then get the fluid, the clip for the top cooler hose, and the 2 O' rings, and do it yourself, with someone to help
12 litres of fluid, clip, 2 O'rings was just around 120 quid mark.
without knowing whats in there, and if level is fine, level is critical, hence why I measured exactly what came out and replaced with exactly the same amout, each time, by measure on jug, and by always standing jug of old next to jug of new and visually checking as well.
