Fitted new drilled and grooved discs yesterday, and ebc yellowstuff pads. Gonna see if there is any difference. Standard 280mm btw. Had drilled/grooved discs on before for about two years (not sure where they were from though as I bought them from a guy who needed the 302s, but got the wrong size). At first I had mintex pads on. These were ok but faded in the last 10-15mph when braking very hard from 100mph. They dust off the wasn't too bad, but they ate into the disc quite a lot, and didn't last very long. Next pads I had were genuine Volvo ones, and these I found were very dusty, and seemed not to be as good as the mintex pads. They would fade in the last 20mph when braking very hard. When I removed them yesterday they still had 50% of the friction pad left on them, so they've got a good lifetime. Will report on the yellowstuffs and the discs (from mtec100 on the bay) once they've settled in. Here's a couple of pics Image Cracks on the n/s disc were large, o/s discs had some small cracks in the outer holes. You can see how worn the disc was though, and afaik the cracks have only appeared in the last two months. Image

It pushes that plate up :( I only know as Paul up @ Readviews was going mad about it as someone had done it on my car ;) He carried on and got a hammer and crowbar and opened the gap back up, so must have done it for a reason  Maybe something to do with it being where the subframe rests, i dont know  We live and learn matey :D Apparently its only meant to be trolley jacked on the jacking point in the middle of the car :B_thumb:
