Cool. I find being able to read car error codes a must. Have had vag com for years and find it really usefull. Now have BMW and Volvo in the household so need a way to read them now. T.

I couldnt appreciate that enough if such was possible!! Im tempted to drive to the car spares shop local and change it in the rain, but would be gutted if its not whats at fault! Thanks, Nathan

will check in my autodata book for you on that code, pretty safe bet its the lamba sensor but not sure if its the pre cat or after cat one without looking in the book or on auto data . what year of car is it, model and engine size please?

p0131heated oxygen sensor (o2s) bank 1 low voltage, possible causes...... exhaust leak, wiring short to earth,h02s,ecm

my mistake if this code means heated o2 sensor then isn't that the EGR valve ? not lamba sensor.

most likely is the sensor. but check the wiring as it lays close to the manifold,if its burnt through somewhere it will short out & cause a fault light,

Ive assumed it was Exhaust lambda, didnt know the volvo had EGR? Oops! >.< I had a look underneath in the rain, got it on stands but got a bit fed up lol. Couldnt see deffective wiring, and it doesnt come on as soon as the light is removed, takes a few miles of driving, so im guessing its giving readings out of a bracket or something rather than going straight to ground. Cheers guys.
