What work is necessary to fit a big bore throttle housing on my 850 T5, or is it a straight swap, and Is porting the manifold necessary to match the diameter of the housing ? Most importantly where can I get a big bore throttle housing in the UK ? Found one in the USA but import tax will be a killer gotmeaT-5

as said i'm using one off a Volvo 960 (3litre V6). The bolt pattern is the same but you do need to bore out the manifold a bit, that only takes 5minutes with a flap sander. The 4 wires for the throttle position switch need extending as the switch is turned 90degrees, & obviously you'll need a bigger diameter pipe to go on the end as its quite a bit bigger

did it make much improvement ,?
yeah got a bigger thorttle body and inter man on my t5 pulls lot better with it on.

When i first fitted the 19t it was that laggy i was thinking of going back to the 15g, but after the TB & RIP it spools just as quick (if not quicker) than the 15g. I did get the dremmel on the 960 throttle body as well before i fitted it (removed the internal ridge & smoothed out the butterfly)

Or just get a NA manifold and TB which will fit and be bigger (the TB that is). You will need to add some ports to the manifold to make it match the Turbo unit.
