Nope, it's a dealer SW controlled issue. They need to plug it into a computer to disengage the lights.

No sftware involved, just a tick in a box on ViDA or Vadis.Dealers telling you its SW is load of cack.

Anyone with Autologic Diagnostics can switch it off. 2 minute job, so should cost next to nothing. Avoid Main Stealers. I can thoroughly recommend DPA in Nottingham for a knowledgeable and efficient service at very fair prices for this sort of thing.

Ahhh, I stand corrected. Well I'd guessed (as with the fog lights) it was more a SW issue. Still, you'd need to pay a fair bit to get the autologic system, so it's not really a free thing!

No not free. Only someone in thetrade is going to invest in autologic. Costs thousands I imagine. But people like DPA in Nottingham who have it will charge a good bit less than a Volvo dealer using VADIS. There is a tuning place somewhere near Donnie using Autologic, but they arent too cheap and dont specialise in Volvos, whereas DPA do.
