Hi everyone,

Thanks everyone. What happened to your car, Danny-R? I'm living in whitby not scarborough but I've only lived here for 6yrs. There should be a pic on my sig now and as soon as I can work this site out I'll put up some more :) Mines a 850 t5 '96 and its completely standard. Shame its the turq blue one but hell, it was FREE and fast! As shes completely untouched I'll be after some advice for some mods to get her started :D I never would have bought one. Now I'm wondering how I lived without one!

Tbh I couldn't afford to run it anymore, but in the 2years I owned it I must say i loved every minute of it, if carlsberg made work horses then it would be an 855 t5r wagon for sure.
I ended up breaking it in the end after it all got too much, got broken into and ruined the door, it had been smoking for years and couldn't for the life of me figure out why and then i think the head gasket was on it's way out as it kept losing all its water.
Was a shame really and I miss it dearly lol but i had tried selling it a few times and just couldn't get what i wanted due to it being damaged/repaired on log book.
and leet5r you'd laugh your back off at my new motor/workdog. 1.4 (HI-TORQ) astra lmao which I use for work and trading the leon tdi in for a k20 civic type r. I will have a look up your way one sunday in it when i get it.
cheers
danny

Most definatley up for a mini-meet, thing is i'll be straying back over to vtec power lol, but would be more than happy with a passenger ride lol.
Is yours manual?

Hello - I had one that colour too :D

Post 319289 by 850t5 on 2010-07-06 15:35:10
Yep. 5 speed manual. Theres an oil leak coming from the turbo, or so it says on the advisory notes on the mot it came with, but it doesn't say anything about where the actual leak is coming from? Any ideas people? I've know absolutely nothing about turbo's or these cars....
That colour doesn't look too bad with the dark alloys + window tint. My goal is to improve whats already there and keep the stantard look as much as possible. I'm too old for bling :D
Post 319291 by danny-R on 2010-07-06 15:46:11
oil return pipe probably needs new olives, not too sure someone will know for definate.
I used to regularly have a blast over to whitby then scarbrough when i had the volvo
(great road for overtaking) ;)
I would be more than happy to help set up a mini meet even though i will be in a honda lol.
