I am in the midst of removing an engine from a V70. I've removed them before but only when breaking, this one is being removed to be repaired. Can anyone tell me does the loom unplug anywhere or does each and every connector have to be disconnected from the engine? Whilst the engine is out it is having a new gearbox, PCV system, stage 0 service, timing belt, water pump and rear main oil seal. Is there anything else I should consider doing whilst the engine is out?

I'd just unplug the loom from the sensors on the engine, there's not that many. There should be two looms that feed the engine, one from the N/S front and one from the O/S by the fan.

turbo oil feed pipe may as well change gasket on that while its out as cost few pounds to change and easy to do. and get injectors checked / cleaned or replaced maybe
