Ive just bought a 2000 X V70 Phase 2 2.3 T5. What diagnostics does it use, OBDII, Canbus etc? Can anyone recommend a code reader under £100 to read and clear codes? I understand the ABS and SRS usually require more expensive tools? Does the ELM327 and Windows 7 Laptop work with a 2000 P2 V70 T5? Thanks
its OBDII mate, i bought a £20 OBDII to USB from fleebay, got the free software with it that can read the engine codes. As you say you need the dearer stuff to read airbag & other bits but just for engine faults its fine, i've even used it to reset the engine code on a mates Merc so comes in quite handy
