Hi i'm James and thought I would become a member to this forum. I have an S70R which i've had for 2 odd years now and i'm loving every second of it.
I brought the car standard and after having a run in my brothers 854R which had been Rica'd I was shocked at what a difference it made so then came the bug to tinker....
My First car which I had for 7 years was a Ford Orion 1.6i Ghia again brought from standard and then couldn't leave it alone, Just a pic of the car before i sold it.
Now back to the S70, afew pics from the weekend that I brought her,
Then starts the mods, First off I got a new grille from My local Volvo dealer from a face lift C70 and also an "R" badge from an S60 R.
Then a colour change for the wheels
Then the engine mods, Rica ecu chip, Bsr air filter, samco blue hoses , Volvo front strut brace and a poly bush upper and lower engine mount.
Thanks to Tomcat my next mod was ready to take place
After being told by so many people how good they where I had to try them for myself, so along came the IPD roll bars and link rods. Also at the same time i had a set of goodridge brake lines fitted and a set of DS2500 brake pads fitted
This is how the car looks so far
That's pretty much if for now, more to come next year. Thanks for taking the time to look through my pics.

Very tidy looking S70R you have there. Not very often you see saffy S70's so nice to see one for a change.
A good choice of sensible modifications too. I have the IPD anti-roll bars on mine they work a treat dont they! The DS2500 pads are worth their money too.... even though mine came on the car.

hi jim welcome. stunning motor mate love it.

:welcome:
IPD ARB drop links - not much good, I found. They are no more robust on longevity. Mine went in the bin after 18 months on the C70 - with the IPD strengthened ARBs.
Can't fault the DS2500s. Been using them for years!
Nice car btw ;)

Hi Jim, welcome to the forum....it's about time!..

Welcome aboard Jim. Nice car there - I really like my IPD f&R ARBs. Used standard VOlvo droplinks - but they are actually more expensive than IPD d/l. As Dave say, I have heard mediocre reports about IPD links - but not the hardest job in the world to change if they don't last. Rest of car looking great - really shiny: as it should be!

The bushes make a big difference to the noise and yes you do get a fair bit of vibration through the dash when driving/ giving it some right foot ;)
Thanks for the kind words, love what you have done with yours.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys and all the comments :) :)
The IPD arbs i felt made a massive difference to the way the car drove even if they were alittle on the expensive side :( but hay nevermind. As for the link rods, well they where a good idea at the time lol.

Sorry I just re-read my post. I didn't bin the ARBs!! FCUK no - too expensive & I like them. No my comment was regarding the droplinks. They were a waste of money IMHO. Same as the QBE ones. Gonna stick to OEM from now on.

Sorry Tomcat regarding the brake light I wont be using the lamp as I already have a high level light in the rear screen. I've already removed the guts/wiring to the lamp and will just leave it as a red lense :(
