Random thought. I usually try the careful approach to driving in the snow but over the last couple of days I've just had to plant my foot on the accelerator to get moving. (Sometimes coming on and off the accelerator and sometimes foot planted). This morning the car was in 2nd gear with foot on and off, moving at about 5 mph whilst the speedo read upto just over 60mph. Anybody else had a faster reading when being pretty much stood still?

I had 180 kph showing in all my burnouts @ Santa Pod in August, so that's roughly 110 mph, billowing smoke, going nowhere!

My old Porsche 928 went off the end of the speedo which read 160mph in the carpark on ice, the winter I had it - started it in fifth and it went right up to the redline at 6000rpm (very quickly)..... It didn't move, though I did wonder what would have happened if it had worn through the ice and reached the tarmac.....!!
