NW meet, 20th February 2011, Rishworth

Ok time to usher in the new year properly :wave23d: NW meet Sunday 27th February 2011, 11am ish onwards (so that we can blag a carpark to ourselves). Rishworth Either The Malthouse http://www.malthouserishworth.co.uk/ or The Turnpike Inn http://www.turnpikeinn.com/home.htm Choice of venue dependent on numbers who say they will turn up. The Malthouse said with notice we can have a function room upstairs to ourselves (providing enough notice) but if we do get a good turn out again the car parking gets a bit tight. The Turnpike does have a bigger car park but I'd have to check with them to really make sure they could cope with similar numbers of people as last time. It's changed hands again! We are welcome again but whereas the previous manager told me we could have an upstairs function room if there were more than 12 people turning up, the new management have opened the room up for general business. There is a seating area with sofa's (and they could fit a couple more chairs in) for 12ish people and a larger eating area but they can't just reserve it for us. However, if we get an accurate idea of numbers who are going and wanting to eat they can reserve the seating area for those who just want bar snack type food (i.e eat off your lap) plus book a number of tables for those who want a more substantial meal. I've said I'll get back to them by the end of this coming week with a better idea of numbers. Can we try to confirm who is going and wanting to eat? That way I can see if I can book the seating area plus a few tables. Providing it's not torrenting down I guess we'd be looking at getting indoors at say 1pm ish.

Nice run up from Pwllheli there Phil :) Eating ? ......... probably not, may have a couple of jars later on though. Right then last update from me at the moment. Rang the Malthouse and confirmed we will be descending on them again. Table for 14 booked for 12.30pm which covers those who have indicated they want to eat. In total across here, T5D5 and VOC I think we could have upwards of 20 cars arriving so I'd suggest we aim to start arriving from 11am so we can take over the top car park as usual. Had a nice meet today, 13 cars in total :B_thumb: Pookie's 850R stood out as usual, although there were some really nice cars there, Abdul's Saffy V70R, a lovely V40 T4, a lovely P2 V70R and a S60R, some old skool stuff as well in the form of a V90 and a beautiful 960 3.0ltr. Hopefully James ( offtheclockuk ) can upload his pictures :D Cheers guys Lee

Good to see everyone again, some regulars and some new faces. At least the rain held off for the meet although the drive there and back home was unpleasant in places. I reckon about 16 cars turned up in total in the end. And we had a table to ourselves which was better than last time :redface:. Managed to grab a few snaps before wandering in for food (which was up to it's usual excellent standard). The plod section And the V70R corner
