My S40 T5 has developed a dead door. Won't lock/unlock and window doesn't work (although I can still open it OK with the handle) it's the passenger driver side - Any suggestions as to where to start troubleshooting this one? thanks :)

The first thing I'd be checking is the multiplug that goes from the inside edge of the door into the B post
Fuse? I know I know
I think on the S40 one fuse runs both doors, so the driver door should be dead too if that were the case. Will double check though :)

Also have a check of the wires underneath the glovebox.

volvo have a modifed wiring loom for this problem the looms get water in them but a top tip is if you cant open the doors at all take the wheel arch liner in question out and you will find some foam near the door remove this and waggle the wires then the door normally unlocks saves damaging anything
