firstly i'd like to thank both Adam & Chad for inviting me. Despite the day being arranged for customers having a spare place Adam asked if i'd like to put Bonny on the dyno even tho i've never buying anything from either him (i will buy a TT tho, promise) or Chad with Bonny clocking over the 169k miles this week, & me treating her purely as a daily drive (ie no servicing, oil change etc) i wasn't expecting much, but when it came out at 173.3bhp i was very surprised as its 10bhp more than she left the factory with. They even did a second run & the graph was almost exactly the same only 0.5bhp difference. Adams new V60 ran exactly 163bhp which the book says so the figures can't be far out so i'm more than happy. I wasn't that impressed when the operator overlayed my graph onto that of a 700bhp F*rd GT, that put it into perspective lol the dyno operator was very helpful & was interesting to hear opinions, facts & having the time to explain any issues that came up or just any questions we'd got. Also good to meet everyone, think Adam was th only person i'd met before but hoepfully meet the others again Image Image Image Image Image Image [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYNrTDF1UWw[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYgTejureKU[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Y8CCFGPn0I[/ame]
Dont know about these rolling roads, senor, you went in with Bonny and then gradually changed into Herbie
it may of been a racing Beetle but i'd still prefer Bonny lol. My bro is a big VeeDub fan so took the pic of it for him

Post 358729 by kee1173 on 2011-02-06 15:17:39

Gotta say it does look nice.. do like the beetles but prefer the old original ones jazzed up..so much you could do to them.
prefer the old original ones jazzed up..so much you could do to them.
a small bit of TNT improves them no end lol

Good pics. I do like powerstation, very professional outfit with a very decent set up. Was it just those 3 cars that ran? Any graphs and specs? Good result on the D5 Pedro, what was the power at the wheels out of interest?
Good pics. I do like powerstation, very professional outfit with a very decent set up. Was it just those 3 cars that ran? Any graphs and specs?
4 ran altogether (mine, C70 T-5, S60 D5 euro 4 & V60 D3)

Good result on the D5 Pedro, what was the power at the wheels out of interest?
i've got my printout but waiting for the PDF.

wheel power 130.1bhp
drag power 44.6bhp (25%),
corrected power 173.3bhp
engine power 174.7bhp
torque 294.8lbf.ft@2290rpm
Not supprised you got more than factory figures as I guess yours has loosend up with age!

Post 359062 by p fandango on 2011-02-08 07:15:29
Not supprised you got more than factory figures as I guess yours has loosend up with age!
theirs only a thin line between "loosend up" & "knackered" tho lol. I still say it was the cone filter that added the 10bhp lol
theirs only a thin line between "loosend up" & "knackered" tho lol. I still say it was the cone filter that added the 10bhp lol
Sure it was not the Premium Swedish MTE Software ?

Post 359067 by p fandango on 2011-02-08 08:54:21
Sure it was not the Premium Swedish MTE Software ?
well tbh Bruce not having any paperwork/receipts from the previous owners there is nothing to say it hasn't been remapped, but that also works that theirs nothing to say it has. As everything you can see is 100% original (ie wheels, suspension, bodywork, mechanics etc) there is no reason to suspect it has its certainly not been MTE'd because i've already replaced the intercooler & that's not a problem then apparently :haha:
