Morning all Long story short i have poor fuel consumption, iv tried to identify issue myself and through 3 other garages but after many pennies and lots of pissing around it came to no end. So a friend of mine tailing me yesterday noticed i had bucket loads of blue smoke so i thought perhaps this is related as i believe blue smoke is related to fuel though please correct me if im wrong.. So i guess my question is what would be the cause of the blue smoke ? i have a feeling it could it be an O2 sensor ? thought im not ruling out a ring or even faulty injectors the car of question is a 2001 (phase 1) S40 1.9 TD about 100k miles Any input would be greatly appreciated, thank you

Black smoke usually shows excessive fuel. Blue smoke is an oil related problem and white grey is usually water.

hmm im assuming that would indicate I would be burning more oil than usual, which I have kept an eye on and there is nothing irregular/don't use much. it could be the friend following me was colour blind! lets say it was black smoke...

following this has anyone any injectors for a 1.9 TD s40 t-plate (2001) they want to get rid off?

could be the turbo seals gone. this would allow for oil to burn.
