can't exactly place when it started, but recently the forum takes a while to start up. I run Google chrome & it sits saying "waiting for www.vpcuk.org" for about a minute, then when it does come up it says theirs no new posts. Not sure if whether its my comp or not, but anyone any ideas

I've been getting a bit of that too mate. I'd put it down to our cr@p service provider here and wifi, but if I'm not the only one then maybe the server's not feeling very well?

The forum did seem to be a bit slower yesterday and first thing this morning, seems to be ok now. I think it just doesn't want you here anymore: like some of the rest of us :D

Not had any probs here. BT broadband, Firefox on XP and no, not using Google Chrome. WHatever you do, if you get BT broadband DO NOT agree to set up a FON Hotspot or OpenZone. Damn nuisance on the laptop - always defaulting to the log-in for the hotspots, and saying it can't find the hub. Even worse with the iPhones. Have now altered various settings so is better, but still tricky at times. Best thing you can do with a BT HomeHub is stick a pin in the reset hole on the side - always upgrading itself for the worse - which resets it to factory settings.

I too have been having issues. Is anyone else getting messages about DNS not responding or DNS has timed out or similar? If anyone gets an error message if you could note down exactly what it says it may aid Justin in identifying the problem. Rest assured the issue has been raised ;)

Post 376699 by JimmyBurnWorld on 2011-05-08 18:05:18

I use Firefox on win XP. Sky Broadband. I get the 'Page cannot be found' page on Firefox. Trying again does nothing. I find if I close Firefox, then do a 'repair' on my network connection, then try again it works. DNS error perhaps? The 'repair' function in XP clears the DNS cache. Edit: Been getting the problem since about Tuesday last week.

Hi it with a hammer, if that doesn't work then use a bigger hammer, oh and make sure you have it on "Other work" while your beating it.

James if you tell me what internet browser you use, ie firefox or internet explorer ill talk you through clearing cache. A bookmark is a link or tab you click to access the website. Are you running windows XP or Vista/7. If you use XP then follow this guide. Click Start>Click on Run in the bottom right corner>When a black box appears on screen type the following "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit the enter key>close the box when complete. For Vista or 7 follow this guide: Press and hold the Windows logo key on your keyboard>Press the R key>When a black box appears on screen type the following "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit the enter key>close the box when complete.
