Not sure if the above people are interested in just the discs or the whole kit, but i'd be interested in the whole ap brake kit.
What size wheels did you have with them?
Does anyone know what they go for 2nd hand i aint seen them for sale for a long time?

I have seen the porsche brake kit with discs and pads go for £400, im assuming the AP's are of similar quality.
Would be a worthy upgrade Liam.

Cheers. I'v seen the porsche ones go but know they need 18" wheels to fit. Some of the APs can fit with 17s. Hoping these do to, although i would like to get some 18" bbs tritons eventually anyway.

I'd also like to express an interest in the brakes - subject to price, condition, disc thickness etc.
I'm in Edinburgh so not far from you I think.

Already got a set so going to step away and leave it for you all to fight over. Hope it's not considered out of order if I say that the allowable wear on AP discs is VERY small and they are not cheap so take care, not that I'm implying in any way that Grumpy's are overly worn. Also use very good fluid when you fit them.
Enjoy :)

Thats good info as not everyone (i'd forgot myself) knows that some big brake kits require a bit more looking after (so to speak).
These are good for me a they should fit with my comets, where as (unfortunatly) the porsche ones, which tend to be a bit cheaper, don't fit with them.

Replacement discs alone are around £600 a pair iirc !!!!!!!!

HI Guys IIRC, these were my set of AP's, that fitted under the Comets, not many kits can fit behind the standard wheels, you can get a set of discs for £350.
HTH Gary.
PS i would stick them on Ebay.
Post 380008 by siamblue on 2011-05-24 05:48:10
Forgot too say, these kits are still for sale at £1900+.
