you won't need new pistons, but with the other bits you list you'll get your target

Yep, 400bhp is a bank balance killer! Thats the figure I am aiming for too, I also believe its the limit of the stock head gasket. My engine is running both forged pistons and rods, plus a few other bits, it should see 400, but I'll be happy with a solid 370+

Yea hopfully u get it mate 400bhp is a good figure i think im just not going to spend all that extra money for 50 or so bhp mayb ill look at nos to make up for it.

Budget for a clutch too, I'm using an 850R one, and a Gripper LSD to help put the power down

Post 390360 by Mongo on 2011-06-28 20:57:57

Yea were did you get your gripper lsd? And how much mate?

Post 390362 by Volvostorm on 2011-06-28 21:06:35

It came from Don at Kalmar Union, was around £800

Easy to fit?? Sounds like a good upgrade mate i might have to ad 1 to my list

Post 390369 by siamblue on 2011-06-28 21:20:36

That is why i am sticking too >300 whp because anymore more and it gets really costly, hence why i am nearly at the limit of my standard rods... Gary

Yep ure right gary its exspesive. Is the standard intercooler good for 300whp?

Post 390374 by siamblue on 2011-06-28 21:28:27

Yes i would say, but they do suffer with heatsoak, the engines get very hot quickly, hence why it is best to get a larger one, i can thrash mine all day now if i wanted to and it still comes back for more, or maybe it is my WI letting me get away with the heatsoak

Lol Aw good but also somthing to look at then. Thanks

The diff isn't that bad to fit, I had my gearbox checked over at the same time.
