Mate, I don't believe it.
My first impression was "I love a grey T4, that looks really nice". Then I realised...
I bought that car in 2008 and got rid of it straightaway, back to the trader in Darlington who'd sold it to me. It'd been in a big front-end and been shoddily repaired. No mention of insurance but I still don't understand why.
See thread here that I posted to try to help others be aware of the issues I'd encountered! (shows up as the top hit for the reg on Google). I still have the RAC report on the vehicle condition from Sept 08.
It might have been fixed properly since, I really hope so, but I can't see anyone spending the thousands of pounds that the car needed on a vehicle that was worth £2k in 2008.
Please give it a really careful going-over!

ps> now you know why it's got a knock-off front grille on it... at least, you know what happened to the old one!
Sorry to be the bearer of less-than-great news. I will PM you my phone number in case you want to discuss.

I knew about a front end impact in the past but the rest is a bit of a bitch. Wish I hadnt read that thread :(
I did buy it cheap though which I suppose is some consolation.

To be fair, It doesn't look a bad job.
Insurance jobbies don't bother me as long as I know what catagory I'm buying.

Does it look OK, does it drive OK, and was there no hassle insuring it?
If yes to all three and you got it cheap, then job done! I've owned cars that were accident damaged in the past and no problems.

It looks fine to me, drives no problems on roads or being pushed at speed on trackdays, no insurance problems other than the cost ha ha.
I had it checked over when I bought by a very good family friend who is an ex Volvo mechanic and did all the restoration work on my Escort mk2. he also agreed it had been accident damaged but said it was fine and its passed two MOT's under my ownership. If it had been a death trap he would of suggested I cube it immediately.
In the end I do like the car, know about its previous damage and that its not a minter but it does the job I want it to do. Get me from A to B very fast and carrys everything i get from my many monthly scrapyard runs with no problems :)

Oh heck no I wouldnt dream of such a thing. If/when I come to sell it I would declare the accident damage to any potential buyers as Im that sort of person. I do believe you always tell the truth when selling a car. :)
