I have always had a thing for the ur quattro - as a kid I'd watch rallies in my Opel Manta and while I followed Jim McRae in his AC Delco Manta 400, you really couldn't ignore the utterly glorious 5 pot howl of those squat big arched Audis. Anyway, a bit of iPhone googling brought this up this evening : http://www.2bennett.com/body_urquattro.html How much would you want this in your garage?

Most amazing motor I have ever been in, was introduced to a guy just outside Halifax a few years ago that had slowly built one up. Wasn't road legal but by god did it sound good when he fired it up....!!

Hey Grant don't the coppers think yours sounds better than a Quattro anyways ? :D
have they been up your chuff lately about your exhaust?

Always loved the SWB Quattro's. One parked outside work a while back, Will see if I can dig out the pic I took. Lancia S4 will always rule the roost though ;)

LOL!! Got a db killer on it just now but doesn't make much difference. Going up to Simon that did the exhaust in the first instance on Wednesday and he's going to fit another silencer into the straight section after the cat. And going to take sound readings before and after with a calibrated meter that I'm borrowing...
The Quattro that I was in was an ex works rally car with somewhere in the region of 600bhp. And in a small lockup with anti-lag, it made the hairs on the back of the neck stand up (or would have done if I had any!!)
