Hi am having trouble removing passenger side drive shaft on a 2001 auto the joint that goes into the gear box seams to be stuck have managed to lever it out a couple of mm but now its stuck i guess its to do with that spring clip thing on the end shaft anyone got a tips how to get it out or do i need to lever a bit harder

Can't speak for definite as yours is auto but usually it's just a matter of levering it with crowbars etc. Usually it will jam if you only lever from one side of the inner joint so get a friend to attack it from the opposite side so you are levering it together equally. Get your timing right and 'crack' it together and it should pop out.

use the few mm of play to push it back in and jerk it out very quickly and sharply
there is definitely nothing else to it
it is just a case of pulling out with a combination of pulling by hand and using levers, maybe a second pair of hands would make it easier
