here`s my car show me your`s
Spent a day polishing on Saturday and still shining like a ****house door, my lovely 117k mile TDi;
Still feel irrationally fond of it, can't imagine many people treating a T reg car so well. As another poster on here mentioned yesterday, driving past all these glum faced drivers of new cars, money does not guarantee happiness.
here`s my car show me your`s
One of the best looking 850's ive ever seen! Looks lush.
The "Big Sweed" with Vinto's lurking behind. I'll get round to a full valet inside and out when I get the DIM fixed on tuesday.
That red 850 really does look the mutz!
Pookies daily driver, and he loves it!

It's a funny thing isn't it? My car isn't worth a lot, and most people don't even notice it, but I get such satisfaction from having a rare and interesting 15 year old car and knowing that it costs me a fraction of owning ANY new car (zero depreciation) and to be lucky enough to have such a nice example is great.
And you can't buy that.
This is one with pre-refurbished Volans...
and not to be seen again I think:
Mine, complete with chav headlights and without it's nice new R bumper...
Currently a tad poorly and awaiting (yet) another engine :(

A couple of my favorites at the moment
This is like Readers Wives - err, not that I have ever seen such magazines...but a bloke at the bus stop once told me all about them. Honest. Mind you, the bodywork on this lot is a darn sight more attractive and not a patch of floral wallpaper in sight...although you may see some stained velour on some of the older models...
here`s my car show me your`s
Loving the Waldorf Hotel in the background - I bet the beds in there are in need of a decoke and a rebore :)

My S40 was my first ever car ... and the only car I've ever owned:

Jaguar best car I ever owned. Volvo work horse. Soon be back driving
Hi, I am going through lots of old stuff, I joined up again just this week after an absence of three years and your comments sum up just how I feel. I bought a 1999 V70 SE 170bhp in really lovely condition with full leather and all of the goodies for a grand this week and that is after using a Peugeot 406 estate for the last 3 years, a very ordinary car, good and nice, but ordinary and nothing like owning a Volvo, which just makes me smile and smile, it is very difficult to explain. Very nice car by the way, reminds me of the 850T5 Estate I had in 2009. Cheers, James.

also when i first got it;-)

Hi LeeT5, You motor looks the business!! I have just bought a 2005 V70 T5 (my 1st Volvo) and I love it. But it has got lots of chrome shiny bits that I would prefer were not there! I like the stealth look of yours. Got something to aim for now. Will put pics up soon, when get car back from servicing.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for your comments. I wasn't aiming for the 'stealth' look, but it kinda just ended up that way. I did have my front grille painted when i had the front end resprayed...she now looks like this:
Would love to see your car. front, rear, side and interior shots.

I take it the AA van wasn't there for you? ;)
A photo of mine (some have seen this one before), but taken about 3 weeks ago on 21/09/2012. It's got a long way to go yet before it's 'sorted' but for 231,000 miles it's not doing too badly....
I take it the AA van wasn't there for you? ;)
Ha ha, no mate. That's my van.

didnt find it first. tanx. looks pretty cool the whole thing. iam not after the tunning up thing, my other half would kill me if i do all this to the car, but for a more agressive look, i quiet like the idea with the scoop. the normal one to buy looking cheap, got one but not doing that to myself, so looking for something more styling to the big volvo. i understand yours is purpose made, i only need it for show, so i would not cut the bonnet out @) what did you actually use for that. looks like a aricon cover or something like that?
