Hi, just had an idea. I was thinking about how irelevent 0-60 times are in the real world and thought about a new format for drag racing. Imagine thee is a run up to the start line and you and your competitor are held at 40 mph behind a truck ( or artificial moving obstacle). When you cross the line the truck ( or equivalent) moves to the side and off you go, 200 meter dash or whatever distance you choose.
Any takers? I'm sure it would be a better test of most cars in the real world.
Cheers
Also anyone know how to change my username? Ta.

sounds like the 30-130 challenge... you could do that with GPS boxes in the same way people do the 1/4 now ... just hit the start line below 30mph

Thanks for the replies, I was thinking of something like a drag race (static spectator point) but with something akin to Tractor pulling, i.e an artificial Artic, so the curtain would drop behind the towed start point, and off you go. Would perhaps be a bit more exciting, in terms of spectators, than the timed stuff mentioned as there would be a tangible winner, just like a good 'ole drag race. Feel free to tell me if you think this is a rubbish idea, just thought it would give a new slant on drag racing.
