Nothing new here...
I bought some wheels on eBay. The bloke shipped them to me. When they arrived, and I took the tyres off, I found that they were anything but round. On contacting him, he says that he was unaware of the damage, that they must have been damaged in transit, and anyway he sold them in good faith. So basically, "sod you".
Not happy being scammed. Any advice?
Didn't pay through paypal but I have raised a case with eBay for now.

If you payed through paypal and went through eBay start a case up with them being faulty goods not as described and with in 14days you will get ya money back... eBay nearly always 98% gos with the buyer which is good if you ate genuine but if ya a wrongen then it's bad for the seller.. Report it and go from there mate

hi i doubt youll get your money back if not paid via paypal, but if you had paid by paypal you still might not get your money back simply because you had taken the tyres off.
They have a clause regards altering items received, i run a business via ebay and have had most ebay problems.
I brought some alleged rebuilt forks for my rgv250, drained the oil out which was not new, complained and was told i had altered the item and couldnt claim.

Who was the delivery company? You may be able to claim through them but that would be down to the seller to contact them in the first instance.

Seller has offered me 50% back, which I will take. I'll then try to make up the difference by selling the offending wheels on eBay as winter wheels for a city runabout - which I think they will be fine for - just not on a track car. So problem solved, or will be soon.
Thanks guys :)
