Columba's are the 850 T-5 wheels that you've got, but they don't fit over the calipers if you have 302 brakes

Thanks!! Lets see if Adam has a seat for you, and I might come up with that anyway. I'll be using the T5 more after it's had the work done tomorrow, so a spin out to Morecambe would be nice. We really like Glasson for walkng the dogs, so we could go there as well.

Aaaa unbolting the big stuff is easy, getting the electrics to behave after will be fun. Good job you are swapping the engine, make the faultfinding mmore straightforward. Are you going for the full "Pedro"?
I'll be watching with great interest ;)
Good luck.

the wirings not too bad as long as you take your time, follow the wires back correctly & remove 1 circuit at a time. Your goal to beat is 324kg removed ;) lol

Pearl white outside, matte/satin black interior with yellow gloss rollcage/seats/pods.
(close your eyes and imagine opening the drivers door and looking in;))

Initially I thought red (dark metallic with a large fleck) but thought about it and gloss yellow on satin black seemed to stick out for me;)
Post 431626 by daza-b on 2011-12-01 17:42:51
that does look pretty smart i must admit, spray the inner shell like a nice glossy black, yellow roll cage, black buckets etc could be a plan :D

So long as the welds are good and the anchor points are correct you'll be fine. Sure you'll find.plans on tinter-web somewhere :)

Post 431740 by local-looney on 2011-12-01 21:39:23

lol cheers bud ill have a look and see what i can find, going to get the dash and the rest of the interior out tomorrow, then a bit of fabricating and then on with the cage :D
Post 431801 by M-R-P on 2011-12-01 23:06:19
you might want to hold the cage for a bit... When you stripped the car as much as possible, you may start removing things like bulkhead panels, roof supports etc. You can then build the cage to fit.
Post 431803 by daza-b on 2011-12-01 23:08:00
yea know what you mean buddy, got plenty to do :D lol

Instead of the exhaust gas spinning the compressor, a belt off the crankshaft does it instead, so boost from tickover.

i do like the sound of that, seeing on your project you have 2 intercoolers, you need one for the charger too then?
Post 434394 by claymore on 2011-12-09 18:26:38
The top mount is to cool down the charge out of the Turbo (if the air is to hot going into the supercharger the lobes would expand to much and seize the charger)

i get you, i might try and get 2 coolers in front of the rad, unless i get 1 big ass cooler with the twin exits, i seem to recall seeing one of them in your thread claymore?

the one with the 2 outlets was just a cheap bargain off ebay, i welded up the outlets and welded t some new ones where I needed them, that is now my front mount, there is not realy enough room for two intercoolers at the front.

after
