Hi guys, a mate of mine promotes Shakespeare County Raceway and asked if I would post this to anyone interested. Its regarding RUN WHAT YA BRUNG... http://www.shakespearecountyraceway.com/rwyb.asp If you attend in numbers, we could arrange a discounted ticket deal and organize a competition within the event, for you guys. You could have a couple of qualifying sessions and a knock out eliminator. The cars don't even need to be road legal so race cars are welcome. Cheers, Si
No mate his name is Martin, but all good if Jerry's got it covered
think Jerry has something to do with the commentator, but has always been helpful when it comes to organising events

If you have a D5 section, then I will enter that, as my T5 isn't upto spec yet. By next Summer it may be though.

haha yeah i assumed that, my old T5R is fairly standard with regards to engine... ive gone for the Lotus approach.... its very light.. single skin doors even boot(angle-grinder;)..... rear perspex windows glued in, had fun removing the heating system/x2 matrix/air-con/compressor and ofcourse every bit of trim soundproofing etc. It'll be fun to see what kinda time i can get?... hoping for 12secs at least but like i say ive never raced, im just guessing from the stated 15secong factory time.

Perhaps you can start a projects thread becuase i'm very interested to seeing what you've done, i'm doing a lightweight myself

Mine was stripped, but standard engine at 14.2 if yours has the 300 chip you'll hit the thriteens, but your going to to need to put in a stonking time to get in to the 12's
what times have you been getting in yours mate?
best so far 14.8

okay, in that case i'd be happy sub 14 after all the work ive done anyway, mainly as they should be able to do 15 out the factory no?

I did a 15.3 secs @ 94 mph in a standard phase 1 V70 T5 CD manual which should had 240 bhp with 280 WHP bigger turbo and map I only managed a 14.9 & 99 MPH IRC mind you I did have a bag of cement in the footwell to help with traction. Saying that T5s arnt the best 1/4 mile car
