How much should I expect to pay for replacement handbrake front cables to be supplied and fitted? Is it an easy job? Thanks in advance.

I've been told one has snapped, but also been advised that is best to replace both? Been quoted £240.00 inc.

That does not sound that unreasonable. You can always phone HLM for a quote - but they may be far from you - whereabouts are you?

It not difficult to do yourself if you a familiar with changing brake shoes.

Maybe there is a whole kit of bits to do.. Have you tried shopping around? For those sorts of jobs, I tend to use http://www.f1autocentres.co.uk/ I usually use local garages or try and do stuff myself but if not, then they seem to be pretty affordable and I always get a straight job out of them. The Bristol branch are very honest
