Thought I would start a new thread as I'm going off track in the remap issues thread. So I've decided I want to fit a mechanical boost gauge. I think this one will do the job nicely - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PROSPORT-SMOKED-SUPER-WHITE-BOOST-GAUGE-KIT-BAR-/110786076787?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19cb5d6073 Going to mount it in a pod like this - http://www.partsforvolvosonline.com/product_info.php?cPath=28_225&products_id=6760 The area where I want to put it creates a challenge - sat on top of the dashboard next to the a-pillar. I think I can get the tube into the cabin OK, but I want it to be where I have circled. I've had a look and the gaps between the window/A-Pillar/Dash are very small, and would likely squash the tubing. Does anyone know a way to route it up to the point I want? Perhaps a way through the fuse area? Image

Not without drilling the dash. Airvents are a popular place to put it. Storm Troll had a nice example.

The other option which looks good is the door mount, can be tricky to install as I'd need to remove door card and pipe through the door. http://carbonfiberwerks.stimuluscreations.com/s60.htm

THATS where ive got mine in my 850, i got the cables and vac pipe down the back of dash by unscrewing side vent and threading it through then wired it up to the light swith and put t piece in the vac line under the steering colum

I had a look at that gap and I can't see how I'd fit a tube down there without it being squashed, at least in my car. That's where I want it though :) Maybe there is a way of feeding it up from the back of the dash where it meets the window.

on the 850 there is a vent on the side of the dash open the door pop out the plug.undo t25 torx pull out vent undo other torx then the dash corner pulls away abit. take the footwell cover off 3 x t25torx shine a bright light up there and poke the vac pipe down the gap. u will spot it with the light the grab it and gentle pull it down, pop out the light switch shine ya light through the switch hole, i taped the 3 wires together to help threading. once u spot them guide them through until u can pull them through the swith hole. my wireing will be different to yrs i had 3 wires for my gauge as its got different coulour leds easy to find which is what tho
