Hi, just wondering where in the uk i can get a rebuild kit for my 18t, as she is starting to smoke. Also is there anyone on here that rebuilds turbo's? if not i may give it ago myself. Any help Much apreciated.

Turborebuild.co.uk also do diy rebuild kits, I've had one from them before and it was fine. Only problem is that the turbo really should be balanced after a rebuild, but most places won't balance one unless they do the rebuild.
18T will need a 'super back' washer. Dont buy a flat back kit. Heres a super back rebuild kit. personally i've take the turbo to a specialist to get refurb'd, i've seen turbo that have had ebay rebuild kit that are still knackered because its not as simple as replacing the seals/bearings. If the bearing are worn then the excess shaft play would cause the fins to touch the inside of the casing, plus it would need rebalancing as soon as you've touched/moved the impellers

If was me i wouldn't risk the time & effort of taking it off to do a half job, get it done properly & know its right

I would go for a 20g wheel on the turbo as well if i had the funds and my turbo was smoking a bit(good excuse to get a proper upgrade which is what i tell my wife)
