Can't stand facebook. It was good 5ish years ago when I joined but all that farville, mafia wars etc. Just pissed me off. I just use it to keep in touch with friends/family i never see. I'll go find the vpc thing and "like" it for the hell of it and if anybody wants to add me, im under the same user name. I still think vpcuk is far better in every aspect tho.
yeah so do i but its handy

For the Record I'm 1001% againest using Faceache for The club, My other Club I'm in for the other cars Has, sadly and regretably in my opinion, Started to Use such said social site instead of the actual Forum site for Posting about.... basically what we have or had on a forum, apart from the, Catagories, Sub-Catagories Thing... So It's all ended up like a Needle Truck plowing through a Manure farm.... I love the fact that I can keep track of Topics, New post's, EVERY MEMBER learning a little about the other (That damned Secrecy thing) on This Forum <3 but for Faceache? I'll like the page.... But Not till hell is endothermic, shall I post or use it instead of the Forum. (P.S, I do not refer this Reply as an means of aggression or Offence to other member's.. I just don't like Faceache destroying the Community of a club)
Hey guys, the facebook page is no substitute for this site.....merely a page on facebook land letting other Volvo owners that this site exists. It been around for ages, hardly anyone uses it and I was only made an administrator of it this morning. Moving forward it will be used for news syndication tool from a sites prospective. (Advertising stuff from this site). The real content will remain here :-)
I am an admin also on the facebook page for VPCUK - just so's you knows.
Justin is also an admin on the page. If you like facebook its there.....if you dont then the sites here. (Its all about accomodating the needs of the community)
Although i'm not a Great Fb Fan, i feel anything we can do to promote this site and Volvo's should be welcomed. I have Posted on our Site on fb simply for that reason.
You can stop app requests coming through, its quite easy to do dude.
Yeah but I shouldn't have to. It's not just that, I keep getting requests from people I went to school with who I couldn't stand, they seem to think I want to know them now, after 15 years or so just so they can bump up their friend count. The thing is full of malware and adverts pretending to be a friend request from some good looking girl who seems to know you from somewhere or other blah blah.
I don't mind the FB page.. It adds another level to VPCUK.
yep there is a Facebook one. I have had it in my Facebook list for well over a year or more.
Never been on Face Book in my life, is it like here but without Volvo's? if so what's the point :)
Never been on Face Book in my life, is it like here but without Volvo's? if so what's the point :)
Basically, it is similar to here. I enjoyed FB for a day, finding friends that I haven't seen or spoken to for years, then looking for ex-girlfriends and so on. I soon became bored and only go on now when it's my Birthday as several people send messages to me, and then I don't here from them again for a year. Far better off on here...........
