hi folks...tried to open bonnet to check my oil and the catch at the passanger side will not release anybody know how to release it, if i cant get the bonnet up, had a feel under the red handle in the car and can only feel one wire think thats the way it was though.... over to the experts please...john

Hi mate,
I had this on my s70, If you climb under the car on the passenger side and look up you can get your hand upthere to activate the catch yourself, its a bit of a pain, but possible,

I had this problem late last year and i did reach under neath and pulled both cables one on either side and it opened

I'm sure the red handle will only have one cable as it tee's off from the o/s catch over to the n/s. Sometimes if you get someone to pull, gently, on the handle under the dash while someone manipulates the bonnet it will open if it's just a simple case of a sticky catch ;)

spot on andy guy in my work said to do that and it worked,heavy dose of wd40 like brand new now cheers guys....john
